Petrus menyangkal Tuhan Yesus karena takut, iblis pakai rasa takutnya untuk membuatnya tidak terhubung dengan Tuhan. Apakah engkau mengalami hal yang sama seperti Petrus : rasa takut, gengsi, marah, kecewa, sakit membuat engkau putus sama Tuhan? Dalam kegagalan Petrus sebagai wakil gereja (ekklesia), apakah Holy Purpose masih dapat digenapi?
[Lukas 22 : 61] Lalu berpalinglah Tuhan memandang Petrus. Maka teringatlah Petrus bahwa Tuhan telah berkata kepadanya:
[Lukas 22 : 32] tetapi Aku telah berdoa untuk engkau, supaya imanmu jangan gugur. Dan engkau, jikalau engkau sudah insaf, kuatkanlah saudara-saudaramu.
Dalam kegagalannya, Tuhan Yesus berpaling menatap Petrus dengan kasih, meneguhkan kalau Dia sudah berdoa untuk Petrus. Tuhan juga sedang menatap engkau, saat engkau gagal, tidak mampu, tidak berdaya, merasa takut. Tuhan mengarahkan wajahNya, Dia begitu personal menjagai hidupmu, memberi ruang, mengangkat, meneguhkan dan membawamu kembali. Love overcomes failure.

Peter denied the Lord Jesus because he was afraid, the devil used his fear to make him disconnect from God. Do you experience the same thing as Peter : fear, pride, anger, disappointment, pain make you break up with God? In Peter’s failure as a representative of the church (ekklesia), could the holy purpose still be fulfilled?
(Luke 22:61) And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him;
(Luke 22:32) But I have prayed for thee,that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
In his failure, the Lord Jesus turned to look at Peter with love, confirming that He had prayed for Peter. God is also looking at you, when you fail, are unable, helpless, feel afraid. God directs His face, He so personally takes care of your life, gives you space, lifts you up, strengthens you and brings you back. Love overcomes failure.
